Guess who's coming to Christmas dinner?
Turkeys end up on a lot of traditional holiday dinner tables because they are tasty and feed a multitude of hungry guests. It was apparently the same in this snowy forest, when a freshly killed wild turkey ended up as dinner for many woodland creatures. NWTF Regional Director Billy Hall captured an incredible series of trail camera photos last winter at his hunting club in Virginia.
The drama unfolded as great-horned owl crashed to the ground with a wild turkey firmly in its talons:
